LISAMillionaire.com Update Thursday 2nd January 2020

So this is the first update following the launch of the site this morning.

Regular updates will focus on current holdings but this one will deal with what has happened in the last couple of years i.e. the shares that have been and gone from the portfolio. They are gone because they either stopped moving up or they never moved up after being purchased.

It's as simple as that. No emotion, no stress. The share prices stops going up so the share gets sold.

Code Date Bought Date Sold Ticker Days in Trade Profit/Loss
LM002 05/09/2018 28/02/2019 DRX 176 (84.22)
LM003 17/09/2018 19/11/2018 REDD 63 (119.82)
LM004 14/11/2018 27/08/2019 JLG 286 47.86
LM005 14/11/2018 17/07/2019 BAG 245 (205.49)
LM006 04/12/2018 13/05/2019 SQZ 160 (112.80)
LM007 04/12/2018 08/07/2019 FUTR 216 598.44
LM008 14/01/2019 20/02/2019 PSON 37 (136.61)
LM010 06/03/2019 30/04/2019 SRP 55 (115.75)
LM011 11/03/2019 06/08/2019 AUTO 148 53.88
LM013 28/05/2019 19/08/2019 HSV 83 (137.77)

You'll see that there are some codes missing - LM001, LM009, LM012. This is because the trades are still open and will be covered in the next update.

The more observant of readers may also note that 70% of my closed trades were losers and that overall my closed trades have lost money. No panic, I have several other trades open and these are in a healthy position at the moment.

I sometimes check the share prices of the shares I have sold several weeks or months down the line. Usually I'm sort of hoping to see that my decision to sell was the right one and the share has continued to decline. Sometimes this isn't the case and one or two have gone up after I sold. One considerably. There's nothing to say I won't go back in later on. This hasn't happened yet but I don't hold grudges, I'm happy to invest in a previous loser as much as in any other share.

So the closed positions are in an overall losing position but dividends over the 2+ years make up for this so whilst I am far from the 18% per year growth aim so far, I'm not losing money - which can only be a good thing.
