A new position was opened on Monday 6th December which you can see at the bottom of the table. This one has the code LM045 and, as will probably come as no surprise, was a new 52 week high.

LM044 was closed today as it had dropped 13% yesterday and that drop took it past the 20% mental stop loss that is used on all LM fund shares/investments.

Unfortunately that gave a loss of 24.5%.

Apparently the company (Sthree or "STEM") released some good news yesterday but at the same time also announced that the CEO is leaving. This was enough to make the price drop 13%.

This could be a market over-reaction and the share price could recover quickly and continue to rise. If that happens then I may re-buy it.

But for now, STEM is gone from the LM fund because it simply didn't behave. It was already down 11% since the initial purchase and the bad (?) news knocked it further below the stop loss.

I could whine about it but the fact remains money was lost because the share price dropped and I have no control over that, I can only respond to it.

Oh well, that share is gone now. Onwards we venture.

Across the remainder of the portfolio the investments are all performing quite well. It sits today with a gain of around 14% on the stocks held in the fund and there is cash enough for 3 new investments or top-ups of existing investments.

So I'm not worried about the LM fund, it's ticking along OK.

What does worry me is the fact I haven't yet invested anything into the LISA this tax year.

There's a couple of hundred in an ISA which I could transfer across but with just over 3 months to go I need to find around £3700 to get the maximum bonus.

This year it will probably go to the wire, to the very last moment, if I manage to do it.

A partial injection of cash wouldn't be the end of the world but to have the best chance of becoming a LISA Millionaire, this LISA needs the maximum paid into it each year.
