The portfolio on the whole is ebbing and flowing and over the last couple of weeks it has remained roughly around the same level.
It's great to see a position like LM027 go from down 10% to break-even in one week. The underlying asset jumped up and I've no idea why but it had been in the doldrums for weeks, never quite getting to the point where it needs to be sold but toying with the stop-loss levels a handful of times.
At the same time LM028 has fallen over the last month or so by around 10%. It's still just about in profit but looking a little weaker than before so it may be gone soon. This is why I try to check everything weekly on a weekend; to see the trends and make a note of any investments which may need some action taken on them.
There's no reason to check anything more than once a day. A cursory glance at the portfolio is all that is required each morning and I probably don't even need to do that. Not sure what I am looking for - huge drops perhaps - but when the portfolio is doing well it's nice to log in and see that everything is healthy.
This week it's great to see that out of the 12 trades there are only 3 underwater and two of those are almost break-even.
We are now two weeks from the new tax year and I've managed to get the LISA subscription filled. Bit touch and go this year with all the expenditure we've had - new house, baby coming soon, alteration works etc - but I found the money.
In the first update following the 6th April, I will make sure to do a more thorough round-up of the state of the LM fund. Maybe some pretty charts showing value vs amount paid in and other helpful indicators.
Back in February 2020 these charts looked superb but then quickly turned downwards. One year on they are looking very positive again - and long may it continue.
