Schools finally go back on Monday, over two months after the government closed them abruptly. The kids were in for one day then it was straight back to home-schooling which is far from an ideal situation for anyone.
Much as I enjoy having my daughter at home she needs to go to school regularly if only for her own social benefit. Being at home and trying to do school work is testing for both her and me. I'm definitely not cut out to be a teacher.
At the same time it was doubly cruel as she wasn't allowed to meet up with any other children. This means she's had two months of being stuck with only adults for company.
Roll on Monday when she gets back to spending several hours per day with all her friends. The way it should be.
Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of the lockdown. It has gone on far too long.
LM037 added on Wednesday. Just one unit for now. The "standard" opening position - more is added if the share increases in value.
Again this was a 52 week high. Or at least it was a week or so ago, I didn't pull the trigger on the Monday after it appeared in my checks but decided to enter the trade this week. Typing "enter the trade" makes it sound more complicated than it is but if I used "bought the share" everytime I added to the portfolio then these updates would sound even more samey than they do already.
The LM portfolio is in its 4th year of existence and we're up to 37 separate share trades - hence the latest share buy is "LM037". What we can gather from this is that there haven't been a lot of trades - less than 1 per month averaged over the whole time. I don't think I've used "bought the share" 37 times when refering to new additions so there has been a little bit of variety!
FTSE 100 is currently moving in a range so the portfolio is trundling along. From my checks this weekend I think I will be culling at least one position in the coming days which will remove one red from the table. Don't like seeing red, even if it is just a small running loss.
