It continues to appear to me that the market has pretty much shrugged its shoulders and said "dunno".

I keep a running tally of FTSE 100 closing prices in a little spreadsheet. This week down 34.80, last week down 55.70 so not really moving very much overall.

Same with the two positions I still have open. Small changes on a week by week basis but nothing alarming.

As for general life, don't shoot me but being on lockdown removes any pressure to think of "what to do this weekend" and for that I am quite thankful. Working from home can also be tolerated as long as you have plenty to do which fortunately this week has been the case for me.

On the negative side I've had enough of queuing to get into a supermarket. Especially when there's no reliable method of knowing when they'll be a big queue or not.

It's not like I'm getting much either; a few essentials like bread and milk and some good lager (got a bit of extra money to spend now I don't need to fill up the tank 6 times a month).

No small talk required with the postman or delivery drivers either. They ring the doorbell and run to the end of the drive. Once they've seen my surely plague-ridden face, they wheelspin off to the next victim's house.

Fast, easy and efficient.

eBay sales have risen significantly on the old stuff I've had for sale for a while. There are some very bored people out there and they are biting on my Buy It Nows.

Looking forward to spending the money on something nice when I can.

And in the meantime I am very much enjoying the calm and all of the quality time I get to spend with my partner and (50% of the time) my lovely daughter.

I haven't even looked at possible new trades. The bank is being preserved until September at the earliest - which may be just about the time our lockdown starts to be lifted.
